Jorge Salcedo

Mr. Salcedo is Of Counsel at Ferrari & Associates, P.C., providing legal representation, counseling, and consulting on the nuances of different sanctions programs administered by the Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) of the United States Department of Treasury.

Among his representative matters, Mr. Salcedo has obtained licenses to release funds mistakenly blocked by OFAC, advised U.S. based international trading corporations in obtaining OFAC licenses to retrieve commodities from a sanctioned entity, and assisted U.S. suppliers in the oil and gas industry by obtaining OFAC specific licenses to collect services provided to sanctioned entities pre-OFAC designation.

Mr. Salcedo represented a foreign gas conglomerate in their efforts to mitigate  sanctions risks from the exportation of natural gas from a sanctioned country by interacting with the United States Department of State Office of Economic Sanctions Policy and Implementation.

Mr. Salcedo represents entities and individuals designated by OFAC in their efforts to be delisted.  He successfully assisted a delisted Specially Designated National (SDN) in the reinstatement of his revoked B1/B2 visa before U.S Consulate of the United States in Colombia.

In Washington, D.C., he has provided support to members of the United States Senate Foreign Relations Committee in connection with a specific portion of legislation pertaining to the enforcement of the U.S. Venezuelan related sanctions program.
