As an Associate Attorney (Pending D.C. Bar Admission) at Ferrari & Associates, Avery Morrow advises clients on matters involving U.S. economic sanctions administered by the United States Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”). His experience includes counseling clients on compliance with U.S. sanctions, submitting requests for license authorizations, conducting internal investigations, and petitioning for the removal of individuals’ and entities’ names from OFAC’s Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List. Mr. Morrow works on a variety of sanctions programs, including the Russia, Iran, and Democratic Republic of the Congo-related sanctions programs, the cyber-related sanctions program, and the counter-terrorism sanctions program, on behalf of U.S. and foreign financial institutions, corporations, and individuals.
Mr. Morrow graduated from The George Washington University Law School, where he was the Editor-in-Chief of the George Washington Business and Finance Law Review. Prior to his joining Ferrari & Associates, Mr. Morrow helped represent small businesses and non-profit organizations before the Federal Communications Commission and worked on enforcement matters with the Office of the Chief Counsel at the Transportation Security Administration.
