Gabriele Masetti
Research Analyst
Gabriele Masetti is a Research Analyst at Ferrari and Associates. In that role, Mr. Masetti conduct due diligence, enhanced due diligence, compliance investigations, and open-source intelligence (OSINT) research, and assists Attorneys in obtaining and verifying data and information. His research informs internal memos summarizing assets, property, and transactions presenting the highest risk from a sanctions, AML and/or CTF perspective.
Mr. Masetti has an extensive background in research and compliance, working as a financial crimes, AML, and countering the financing of terrorism analyst. In 2016, he earned a M.A. in Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. Since then, Gabriele served as a senior analyst for two of the largest U.S. global financial institutions, where he worked in the anti-money laundering, combating the finance of terrorism, and anti-bribery and corruption space. Prior to joining Ferrari and Associates, Mr. Masetti worked as a senior analyst for a private contracting company supporting the Social Security Administration.
Originally from Florence, Italy, Mr. Masetti served as a Commissioned Officer in the Italian Army and obtained his B.A. and his first M.A. in History from the University of Florence where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Mr. Masetti also received his M.A. in European Politics, Peacekeeping Management, and Non-Proliferation and Terrorism Studies.
