Shahroo Yazdani


Ms. Yazdani helps clients in a variety of sanctions matters including OFAC license applications, de-listing requests and un-freezing of assets.

Ms. Yazdani is a graduate of American University's Washington College of Law where she was a Compass Fellow and focused her studies on international law and politics. She has extensive knowledge in the field of international trade law which she gained while studying international and European Commerce law at Université Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense in Paris, France. While there, Ms. Yazdani was a member of the Jessup Moot Court Team and competed in the 2012 European Rounds. In addition to her academic work in France, Ms. Yazdani has also studied Comparative Legal Perspectives on Business Law at Yeditepe Universiti in Istanbul, Turkey.

Ms. Yazdani's previous experiences which include amongst them legislative work at the office of Congressman Diaz-Balart (R-FL 25th District) allow her a unique perspective on policy standards such as those which result in OFAC sanctions. Moreover, Ms. Yazdani has previously worked in the in-house legal department at E*TRADE Financial. Her experience at E*TRADE Financial, which focused heavily on compliance and regulations, has afforded her the ability to better understand client needs when dealing with government standards.
